Author Guidelines

At Naisu Press, we work closely with authors to develop thoughtful, visually engaging books that support real learning — whether academic, professional, or somewhere in between.

Our simple editorial test: “Would a student or a professional learn something with this?”
→ If the answer is no, we don’t publish.

We focus on clarity, design, and educational value.

✅ What We’re Looking For

We welcome proposals that:

  • Teach something clearly and creatively
  • Are grounded in research, practice, or experience
  • Have potential to help students, professionals, or curious minds
  • Align with our publishing mission and editorial ethos
  • Work well with a modular, visual, or design-forward approach

We especially value interdisciplinary ideas and niche expertise that isn’t widely covered elsewhere — as long as the end result is clear, practical, and beautiful.

🚫 What We Don’t Accept

We generally do not accept:

  • Unsolicited full manuscripts
  • Fiction, poetry, or personal memoirs
  • Projects that lack a clear educational purpose
  • Topics that fall outside our scope (see What We Don’t Do on our submission page)

If your topic is borderline but has strong teaching potential, feel free to get in touch — we’re open-minded.

🗂 Proposal Guidelines

To start a conversation, please send a short proposal (1–2 pages) that includes:

  • A working title and concept summary
  • Who the book is for (audience)
  • What it helps them learn or do (subject matter)
  • Why it matters
  • Sample chapters or visuals (optional but encouraged)
  • A brief author bio (or profile page that shows your interests)

You don’t need a finished manuscript. We value clarity over polish at this stage.

Let’s publish something amazing!

We aim to respond within a week or two. If it’s a good fit, we’ll invite you to develop the project further with us through a structured and collaborative process.
