Purpose: To clarify data collection, usage, and the rights afforded to users by GDPR, CCPA, and related regulations.
Current Data Handling:
- Anonymous Data Collected: Browser types, device info, visit timestamps, page paths, and truncated IP addresses (irreversibly anonymized via IP masking with self-hosted Plausible Analytics).
- Use of Data: Strictly for performance monitoring and trend analysis. Data is anonymized and never sold.
- Vendor Compliance: We only use third-party tools that adhere to GDPR and CCPA requirements.
- Legal Basis: Legitimate interest under UK and EU GDPR.
- Retention: Anonymous usage data is retained for up to 26 months before deletion.
- Aggregated monthly/quarterly/annual traffic reports may be retained for longer.
User Rights (Preemptively Stated):
If we ever collect personal data:
- You will have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data.
- You will be able to withdraw consent at any time.
- You may lodge a complaint with your regional data protection authority.
International Transfers:
- If third-party tools store data on US servers, standard contractual clauses (SCCs) will be used to maintain GDPR compliance.
